I've signed in and created my account on Yarra Libraries' OverDrive E Book Catalogue, and borrowed 3 books. Last Sunday I followed the step to download the OverDrive software, OverDrive Media Console. After the installation, I tried to open my Ebooks. But I was told: "the OverDrive media File root element is not valid". What does it mean? Yesterday, I asked our expert Katia. She used library's laptop to show me. the laptop has all the software already installed so we could see the e book pages. Amazing! Do we need to download both OverDrive Media Console and Adobe Digital EPub to view the E books? It doesn't say. However, last night I turned on my laptop to download the Adobe Digital EPub software. Following the step by step, when the download completed, I started to install. Then, I was told:
"You need to have the Microsoft Net Frame Work 3.5 Service Pack"
OK, but it is a big file, took me 10 mins to download, then about 20 mins to install! After all, I went back to the Adobe Digital. I run it again then installed it finally!
I logged on my ebook account again to open my firstly borrowed e book, Anxiety Free, but I couldn't as it was about expired. the due date is 13th Feb. Then I open the "Fashionable English"....Ow, it works! I turned the pages, 1, 2, 3,...I just feel one word: HUNGRY!-- it was midnight!
